Surah Al Falaq is the 113th chapter of the Qur’an, consisting of five verses. It is one of the “Mu’awwidhatayn,” the two protective chapters (along with Surah An Nas) recited to seek Allah’s protection.
The Surah teaches believers to seek refuge in Allah from various forms of evil, including the darkness of the night, harmful magic, and the envy of others.
The chapter emphasizes the power of Allah as the ultimate protector against both visible and hidden dangers, encouraging reliance on His protection against all forms of harm.
Surah Al Falaq English Translation
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
From the evil of what He has created
And from the evil of darkness when it settles
And from the evil of those who blow on knots
And from the evil of an envier when he envies.
