Surah Al Kafirun with English Translation

Surah Al-Kafirun is the 109th chapter of the Qur’an, consisting of six verses. The Surah is a clear declaration of the distinction between Islam and disbelief. It addresses the disbelievers directly, rejecting any form of compromise in matters of faith.

The Surah asserts that the Prophet Muhammad, and by extension all Muslims, will not worship the false gods or beliefs of the disbelievers, nor will the disbelievers worship Allah as He should be worshipped. It concludes by affirming the principle of religious freedom: “For you is your religion, and for me is my religion,” emphasizing that each person is accountable for their own beliefs and practices.

The Surah is a strong statement of monotheism and the rejection of idolatry.

Surah Al Kafirun ArabicText

Surah Al kafiroon English Translation

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
Say, O disbelievers,
I do not worship what you worship.
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.
